Beginning and Continuing Chen Taijiquan Class

Mondays, 6:30pm-7:30pm
Ongoing. Students of all levels welcome.

Devised in the 17th century, Chen is the original from which most other styles derive. It is characterized by sinuous, spiraling motions designed to cultivate silk reeling energy, by lower stances and vigorous expression. This class focuses in on Chen Style Taijiquan, Silk Reeling, Qi (energy) enhancing exercises. Appropriate for beginning and experienced participants.

Location: The Farm, UNC Faculty Staff Recreation Association, 1 Alice Ingram Circle, Chapel Hill
in the clubhouse or picnic shelter
Farm Membership not required

Fee: $15 per class, or 3 classes for $40 paid in advance
